Taste of the Upstate 2023 Food Rescue Challenge, Sunday April 16, 2023

Ever eaten a Dutch baby? What about a hushpuppy? From ding dongs and funeral potatoes to hummingbird cake and ants on a log—silly, colloquial food names have a long history—and every time they are repeated, food culture is shared.

Loaves & Fishes’ upcoming Taste of the Upstate event’s date and name have been set, and shared food culture is at the epicenter. The 2023 Food Rescue Challenge will be held Sunday, April 16th, from 11:30am-2pm at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena Patio. Each dish (small bite or taste) will feature a commonly rescued food as an ingredient.

Tickets go on sale early February 2023. Check back for more information soon.
