Pinckney, Philipsen, Vitou and Quartararo lend their passion for the cause to local food rescue organization.

Loaves & Fishes of Greenville announced the appointment of Carolyn Pinckney, Jonathan Philipsen, Alex Vitou and Anthony Quartararo to its Board of Directors.

The new members will assist with efforts to reduce food insecurity through their current personal and business relationships and bring many years of professional experience to the existing board and Loaves & Fishes staff. Executive Director Tessa May shares her support of this addition by stating, “Loaves & Fishes seeks board members who have passion and the ability to implement our strategic initiatives. Carolyn, John, Alex and Anthony demonstrate both of these and we are thrilled to have them on the team.”

Carolyn, the Board’s most recent member, brings a long history of leadership in Greenville community. She has demonstrated her commitment and compassion for her community through her service on the City View Community Coalition and her position as the Food Pantry Coordinator at Bibleway Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. Through her training at Greenville Dreams’ Grassroots Leadership Development Program, Carolyn is equipped to help Loaves & Fishes organize, educate, and inspire community leaders.

“We don’t have a second chance at now,” said Carolyn when reflecting on the urgency of the current unemployment crisis and the impact of COVID-19.

In addition to serving on the Board, Jonathan is the Senior Vice President of Sales for Green Cloud Technologies in Greenville. His leadership and management experience coupled with his focus on strategic growth will support strategic planning efforts as well as annual events for the organization.

“I moved to Greenville in 1997 after graduating from Appalachian State. and immediately felt at home.  Over the years I have seen Greenville grow and prosper.  With that growth I have seen the needs of our community continue to grow.  It is my goal to assist Loaves & Fishes with advocacy, awareness, and outreach to address the growing hunger needs of the community in which we all call home,” explained Jonathan.

Alex Vitou is the Customer/Order Engineering Manager for all Dodge products at ABB Motors and Mechanical, a company that offers a comprehensive range of reliable and high efficiency electric motors and mechanical power transmission products for industrial applications. Alex holds a Master of Business Administration and will lend his business acumen to the implementation of the organization’s strategic vision.

“Loaves & Fishes has been successfully operating for almost 30 years. We want to remain nimble and responsive to the community’s need and strategic planning is a vital part of meeting that goal,” said Alex.

Anthony Quartararo serves as General Counsel for ACL Airshop, a leading worldwide provider of ULD, cargo control and air freight products and services to numerous leading passenger and air cargo carriers, operating on six continents at a majority of the world’s Top 100 air cargo hub airports. Anthony’s legal expertise is a welcome addition to the Loaves & Fishes Board of Directors.
